On a dew-filled morning

A carpet of grass
shimmering, a path
of diamonds, liquid
crystals where buds
will burst forth soon
The only thing
missing was cows
midnight black
creamy white
warm brown
their muzzles moist
with slippery green
eyes bowed to
the sun ascending

having breakfast
in a cathedral
